Telstra International’s Ethernet Private Line service delivers dedicated bandwidth and wide area connectivity, combining the privacy and reliability of traditional leased lines with improved scalability and flexibility. This enables cost-effective, scalable point-to-point connections to be easily established between offices around the world
The service operates at the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model layer 2 and, as a result, gives you the ability to control your network routing and manage your own security.
2. Service features
- Dedicated bandwidth
The capacity you need is reserved for your use, whenever you need it.
- Scalable increments
As your requirements change, Ethernet bandwidth can be increased gradually in small increments, from as little as 2 Mbps at a time.
- Wide range of Ethernet speeds
From 2 Mbps to 10 Mbps, increasing in 2 Mbps increments
From 10 Mbps to 100 Mbps, increasing in 10 Mbps increments
From 100 Mbps to 600 Mbps, increasing in 50 Mbps increments
From 600 Mbps to 1000 Mbps, increasing in 100 Mbps increments
- Choice of interface sizes
Allows you to choose between Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) or Gigabyte
Ethernet (1000 Mbps) depending on your requirements.

The service is fully transparent to all major layer 2 and layer 3 protocols, allowing you to transparently pass VLAN-tagged traffic.
