Recognition for Telstra’s environmental performance

Recognition for Telstra’s environmental performance

Following last month’s article on Telstra’s successful deployment of our video conferencing solution, we are proud to announce that our work with WWF-UK has been nominated for a Green IT Award.

The Green IT Awards, organised by the Green IT Magazine, reward the most outstanding environmental products, suppliers and projects of the last 12 months. In addition, they recognise companies and teams that have made a significant contribution to improving the IT industry’s environmental performance.

As pressure continues to grow on companies to act with greater environmental responsibility, and as increased government legislation comes into effect, the Green IT Awards are set to become the benchmark against which all IT companies are measured.

Telstra International has been recognised for our work with WWF-UK in simplifying its network infrastructure for easier management, in supporting its deployment of greener communications solutions, and for helping the organisation focus on reducing carbon emissions. WWF Earth Hour

On Saturday 27 March at 8.30pm, the WWF wants a billion people around the world to switch off their lights for one hour to send a collective message of action to tackle climate change. As well as switching off our lights, Telstra International EMEA is a supporting partner of Earth Hour, donating £10,000 to this worthy cause.

We hope you will join Telstra in supporting this event - click here for more information and to sign up for WWF Earth Hour.
