Introduction from Drew
Welcome to the February edition of Reachout, our monthly online newsletter, and may I take the opportunity to wish you a Happy Chinese New Year! 14th February marked the start of the Year of the Tiger and, with every character in the Chinese Zodiac carrying a distinctive set of character traits, read our article ‘Bringing the ‘tiger’ out of Telstra’ to find out how Telstra International will master the Tiger!
Last month I was pleased to be able to attend the annual Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) conference, which allows members of the communications service provider community to exchange valuable insights as well as both industry and international observations. See below for an insider’s view of the conference.
Finally, we are pleased to introduce a new regular feature of the newsletter profiling the emerging markets within Asia Pacific, with the first piece this month focusing on Malaysia. The series will explore key business trends and drivers, and demonstrate how Telstra can support communications to and within the country. I trust that you will find the new market profiles both interesting and informative.
Yours sincerely
Drew Kelton
